Presentation Technique

With a course in presentation technique, you will learn how to create more trust, how to understand both your own and others’ communication as well as how to reach your goals more efficiently orally.

When your presentations succeed, you do not think as much of it. The recipient understands you and you have succeeded. But what sort of presentation techniques actually underlies the success – And what should you not do? What is it that the people who always provide good presentations are able to do?

After the education in presentation technique, you will be able to present in a way which captures the interests of your customers and motivates them to act. Furthermore, you will be video trained, so that your competences in presentation and messages are further strengthened. Naturally, you will receive individual feedback on both strengths and development areas.

 

Examination and contents

”Presentation Technique” falls under the academy profession programme ”Communication and Dissemination”. The Business Academy of Copenhagen (KEA.dk) is professionally and administratively responsible and provides the course according to the law on open education. The teachers are from KEA and Connection Management.

In order to document your competences, the internationally acknowledged education is completed with an oral examination, which will grant you 5 ECTS-points.

We will take as our starting point challenges from everyday life, where you will also get through a number of practical exercises. In other words, you will be using the learning immediately and you will experience the effect.

The theory gone through and the practical exercises are thoroughly described in the curriculum as well as in the material, which you will get to keep. This will ensure that you will always be able to go back and retrieve concrete examples for the application in your everyday life.

The education and examination is acknowledged by the Danish Ministry of Education.

Course plan

The education Presentation Technique runs over 3 weeks including 3 days of attendance and one examination day.

Module 1: 2 days

Module 2: 1 day

Oral exam: 1 day

Course content

At the end of the education, you will, among other things, be able to:

  • Analyse and evaluate a presentation task with a professional solution
  • Apply various communication theories in connection to planning the presentation task
  • Plan, complete and evaluate certain presentation techniques
  • Complete group and individual presentations
  • Develop assertiveness through communicative branding and profiling
  • Consider your own presentation and personal development
  • Apply relevant models and tools for developing presentation tasks
  • Plan and complete presentation tasks professionally and personally

Entry requirements

The terms of admission to be accepted to the education are that you have two years of work experience and one of the following educations:

  • A relevant vocational education
  • A relevant basic adult education (GVU)
  • An upper secondary education
  • Another relevant education of minimum the same level as the above
